Flower tips
Thank you for buying your flowers from Flowers Delivered UK, now that you have received your beautiful flowers we want to give you some professional advice on how to care for your flowers to keep them vibrant and as long lasting as possible.

Check Your Flowers Regularly
Fresh water is essential for long lasting plant life, keep the vase container or liner filled to a high level with fresh water. If you completely change the water then be sure to clean the container as much as possible and when you add fresh water in again try mixing the water with commercial flower food supplied by most commercial florists. Flower foods contain the correct levels of nutrients to nourish your flowers to an optimum point to encourage healthy growth. They also keep bacteria at bay which can restrict a plants growth, and flower food also encourages buds to open.

Re - Cut Stems
Cutting plants stems increases the level of water absorption a plant receives without damaging the water vessels in the stem. You can do this by every 2-4 days cutting two to three centimetres from the stem at a 45 degree angle using a sharp knife or plant scissors. Try to avoid squashing or piercing the stems as this will cause damage to the water vessels and restrict the plant to absorb water.

Keep Them at the Right Temperature
Generally flowers prefer warm temperatures between 18 and 23 degrees Celsius; however it is important to position your flowers away from direct warm or cool air flow which can increase the rate a flower dehydrates and decrease its temperature. Therefore try to position your flowers away from direct sunlight, heating or cooling vents, or any devices that give off heat such as televisions, computers, refrigerators and freezers.
